Mission Statement

"The mission of the Friends of the Holyoke Public Library is to support quality library services in the community through fundraising, volunteerism, advocacy for library programs at local, state, and national levels, and close collaboration with the Board of Directors and the Library Director of the Holyoke Public Library regarding current and long-range projects."

We are "The Friends of the Holyoke Public Library" – an organization that helps support this library. We create activities that bring people to the library. We are friendly ambassadors and advocates for the library. We organize fundraisers and design ornaments that are sold to raise funds. We enjoy parties, too. Join us.

To find out what's happening this year, email friendsofthehpl [at] gmail [dot] com, or visit our BLOG, or follow us on Facebook, or call the Friends Office 413-420-8110 and leave a message.  Come to the meetings of our Board, which are open to all. Meetings are usually held once a month at the Library, on a weekday, 5:30-7pm.  See the calendar on this library website for details of meetings and events held at the Library.
We welcome new members, new volunteers, new ideas about ways to support the library.
