How to Donate Materials to the Collection

General Collection Donations

The Library appreciates donations of books, which are either added to our collection or added to the Library's book sale. Call ahead of time to see whether or not we can accept your donated materials and when or where to deliver them.

Please request a tax receipt if you need one, be prepared to provide the number of books and brief description.

History Room Donations

The History Room is interested in acquiring manuscript material, photographs and other organizational records from individuals, families, businesses, and other organizations.

The donation will be discussed with the donor and reviewed by the curator and, if accepted, a deed of gift will be completed. The donation will become the property of the Holyoke Public Library History Room & Archive and made publicly available for research.
