The Holyoke Range Collection

Holyoke Range Collection  consists of materials pertaining to the three mountains that make up the

Holyoke Range.

The mountains have been a source

of inspiration, shelter, recreation and commerce since

before the cities and towns around the range had been

settled. This collection includes original historic

photographs, newspaper clippings, memorabilia,

historical time lines and environmental studies.

Summit Houses on all three mountains, Mt Tom , Mt Nonotuck

and Mt. Holyoke, were places of recreation and commerce from

the mid-1800s into the 1930s.

They were accessible by rail and by trails.
